A wedding is a grand production. Were it not for our wonderful vendors, our wedding could never be the magical evening we’ve envisioned.
Kim James of Six Star Catering is wonderful! As soon as we tasted her food, we knew we didn’t need to try any other caterers. In addition to being the best caterer around, Kim coordinated all of the rentals and is the sweetest, most enthusiastic person.
We knew we wanted a photographer with photojournalistic style, rather than the boring, posed style of so many wedding photographers. We are so lucky to have stumbled upon James Walker! If you haven’t seen our engagement photos, some are scattered throughout this site (aside form the goofy pic on the main page – that’s just us having fun with the tripod), but if you want to see the rest, please take a look at Denny’s Flickr stream or James’ blog. All of James’ photographs are gorgeous, and we can’t wait to see how beautiful our wedding pictures will be!
Our wedding cake will be made by the fabulous Baking B’s. Jen Blumberg is a good friend of Heather’s, and her cakes are always delicious! The Baking B’s make amazing custom cakes for any occasion, so if you need a cake, contact the Baking B’s. We can’t wait to have a piece of their delicious wedding cake!
Jennifer Morris knew exactly what Heather wanted when it came to flowers. She is full of great suggestions and is almost as enthusiastic about the flowers as the bride! It really shows that Jennifer loves what she does, and because of her passion, the flowers are sure to set the perfect tone for the wedding.
It’s no secret that we put off looking for an officiant for much longer than we should have. Despite our procrastination, we found the perfect officiant in Jennifer Luu. We’re very excited to have someone to put us at ease during what will be a very special and memorable ceremony!
Diana Weir designs beautiful paper goods. We’ve received so many compliments on our invitations, and all the credit goes to Diana! In her shop, we found invitations that perfectly embody the warm, vintage feeling we wanted to evoke for our wedding.
Denny enjoys perusing Bell’s Fine Clothing on the downtown walking mall in Winchester, and we were pleased to find that they offer tuxedo rentals. The service at Bell’s makes shopping there feel like shopping in the department stores of old. The Shendows are very friendly and always ready to answer your questions.
Heather found her dream dress at The Barn and has had a great experience from trying on the first dress to fitting the one. No details on the dress; you’ll just have to see it on the big day!
